DICE Contracting delivered a $4.5 million remediation and future-proofing programme at Wellington Correctional Centre in central-western NSW for BGIS, completing it in three months after the 2021 mouse plague rendered a wing uninhabitable.

The part of the contract that stays behind
DICE stands for Dedicated to Indigenous Community and Employment. The community work is funded by the building contracts we win — not by a marketing budget.
We helped Uncle Ike convert an old clothing store in Brewarrina into the Josiah Healing Centre: a café where teenagers train in hospitality, a shop selling Aboriginal art, a gym, a meeting space, and a recording studio. With Yarruu Indigenous Corporation we built a co-working hub in the same town. At the Parramatta Justice Precinct we have delivered National Reconciliation Week ceremonies with Uncle Lex Dadd and the Jannawi Dance Clan of the Darug Traditional Custodians since 2022.
On site, the same principle applies. A local apprentice carpenter taken on for the Tyalgum General Store rectification has since worked on the Murwillumbah Courthouse roof restoration and the Youth Justice Centre Acmena refurbishment.
