Facilities maintenance and asset management for government sites
DICE Contracting delivers statutory, preventative and reactive facilities maintenance for government agencies, facility managers and commercial property owners across metropolitan, regional and remote Australia.
- Statutory maintenance
- Preventative maintenance
- Reactive & breakdown
- Emergency make-safe
- Asset registers & plans
- Whole-of-site management
Buildings deteriorate and components fail. A minor defect becomes a major liability, and maintenance gets deferred until something forces the issue. Usually a flood, a fire or an injury.
The alternative is a plan: identify risk before it emerges, preserve assets that are still serviceable, and responsibly upgrade the ones that are not.
Maintenance services we deliver
- Maintenance plans and budgets built around asset lifecycle
- Statutory maintenance covering legal and regulatory obligations, including essential services
- Preventative maintenance: scheduled servicing that catches issues before assets fail
- Reactive maintenance: prompt troubleshooting and repair of failures
- Emergency call-outs: attend, troubleshoot, make safe, then repair
- Asset and facilities management: asset registers, condition reporting, whole-of-site management
Statutory, preventative and reactive maintenance explained
Statutory maintenance is what the law requires: fire safety measures, essential services, compliance certification. Preventative maintenance is scheduled work that extends asset life and heads off failure. Reactive maintenance is what happens when something breaks anyway.
A well-built plan shifts spend from reactive to preventative, which is where the savings and the safety improvements both come from.
Regional and remote maintenance
Remote maintenance fails for one reason more than any other: nobody is there. We hold permanent teams in Brewarrina and Murwillumbah, run over 20 service vehicles, own our plant, and have serviced sites from Lismore to Broken Hill.
In communities with no specialist contractor market, we bring the trades in, and we employ locally wherever we can.
Trades we self-perform
Carpentry, plumbing, drainage, roof plumbing, gasfitting, painting, plastering, roofing, glazing repairs and general building repairs are all done by tradespeople we employ. Specialist trades such as electrical, HVAC, fire and security come through vetted subcontractors under our management.

Our other service lines
Building & Construction
Capital works, extensions, fitouts and security upgrades for government and community clients. Most of it happens on occupied, operational and secure sites.
02Building Remediation & Refurbishment
Rectification of fire, flood, contamination and compliance failures in occupied public buildings. This is our strongest evidenced capability, and the programme is almost always urgent.
03Project Management
Head contractor delivery, design and construct, and multi-site programme management, including heritage works and staging around live operations.
05Civil Works
Site civil packages supporting building programmes, plus standalone community infrastructure. We own the plant, so a remote site never waits on a hire market that barely exists.
06Carpentry & Joinery
Carpentry crews we employ directly. That is how we hold tight programmes on remediation work inside operating facilities.
