DICE Contracting delivered a $4.5 million remediation and future-proofing programme at Wellington Correctional Centre in central-western NSW for BGIS, completing it in three months after the 2021 mouse plague rendered a wing uninhabitable.

The constraint
An occupied correctional facility, contaminated building fabric, and a three-month window before the wing had to return to service.
Outcome
The wing was returned to service on programme, future-proofed against further infestation. It remains the largest single project DICE has published.
